Bridgewater Arts for Schools Competition
This year the school’s art competition at Bridgewater Shopping Centre is a little different. Instead of the usual paper and paint activities, local children have been given the opportunity to paint their very own “Moo Masterpiece” – a lifesize fiberglass calf!
Bridgewater have selected six local schools to avail of the opportunity to become involved with the Moo Masterpiece project:
- Avoca National School
- Carysfort National School
- Gaelscoil an Inbhir Mhóir
- Scoil Ghormáin Naofa, Castletown
- St. John’s Senior National School
- St. Joseph’s National School
A heard of plain white calves left Bridgewater to be delivered to the schools where pupils from 4th to 6th class had 2 weeks to create the most creative calf possible!
The Moo Masterpieces will be displayed on the mall for you to view and vote for your favourite from 4th – 20th May. Voting for your favourite Moo Masterpiece will take place on the mall and on the Bridgewater website: Bridgewatercentre.ie
The winning school will be awarded a prize of €250 to purchase art supplies for their school. Winners will be announced in the Wicklow People on 24th May.
