This Saturday, 2nd November at 12pm, Bridgewater Shopping Centre will see the unveiling of Synthetic Sea — a powerful new art installation created by artists from the 402 Art Collective. Using plastic waste gathered from local beaches and contributions from our community, this artwork brings attention to the urgent issue of marine plastic pollution.
Inspired by the fragile beauty of lost oyster beds, kelp forests, and endangered marine life along Arklow's coastline, Synthetic Sea invites you to explore the impact of plastic on our oceans and to reflect on our own plastic habits.
Date: Saturday, 2nd November
Location: Bridgewater Shopping Centre
Time: 12:00pm
Come and experience the beauty and fragility of our underwater world and be inspired to protect it!
Part of "Rediscovering the Underwater World along Arklow's Coastline," this project was supported by Creative Ireland and Wicklow County Council.
